End of the year reflections

This class was very fun and very difficult for me. Working with the same group over the course of the semester was better than I first imagined, it allowed me to actually feel like I was on the same wavelength as my group members instead of just grasping at straws.

But I think the biggest impact this class has had on me is the way I think. We were asked at the beginning of this class about negative and positive thoughts (I think it was about whether or not the world was moving in a +\- direction) and I think my answer has evolved.

The world is an ever-changing place whether that be for good or bad, but what’s most important is outlook and vision. Taking risks and being proactive and imaginative are qualities that can make someone a better leader and thinker.

I followed up on the Adidas closing the loop shoe, and there is a video of the members of that exec team talking about the product. One of the guys said something that really stuck with me: “ we don’t have all the answers. But we can’t wait for all the answers to unveil themselves.”

I resonated with that extremely. I don’t think anything should be confined to any one space. The beauty of ingenuity is the interdisciplinary nature of thought. If we can pull from all backgrounds and knowledge bases maybe we can figure which direction to move in. And hopefully, that direction is positive.
